Correspondence Kondoglou-Isidoros 30 Jan1926
30 January 1926
Brother Fotis,
I received your beautiful letter and was exceedingly delighted.
I know that we have been baptized in a brotherly font wherein some
mysterious spirit does not allow our souls to be separated.
Yes, “Nothing in this world can separate us.”
I have many brothers according to the flesh, but not brothers according to the spirit.
Only the foundations of spiritual love are unshakable.
Behold, the world is passing away, fading and vanishing into a deep darkness.
It rushes onward like a whirlwind that scatters everything into the boundless chaos,
as though they had never existed. Flowers, leaves, and rubbish—all are swept away,
and all remain dead. Yet fear not.
We shall live inseparably there where our spirits will rejoice eternally.
Write to us regularly, for it greatly gladdens us.
Later I too shall send you a historical treatise.
The elder Charalambos greets you from the heart.
We longed to see you. At least send us your photograph.
Send me two sticks of Chinese ink for the calligraphy I practice.
Also send me the book you published, in which you dedicate a chapter to the elder.
Your brother,
Isidore.

Brother Photis,
With all brotherly boldness, having nowhere else to pour out my sorrow
save, after God, into your brotherly heart.
I know that you love me, and I love you and pray for you.
Have pity on Isidore. I have the elder, who, worn out by old age,
has become capricious, and I have no peace to work at my handiwork.
Your letters are my consolation. Do not forget that you have
a brotherly heart dwelling here in the desert.
Prayers to you all,
Isidore.
